(1) The construction sequence, initial and torsional moments of large hexagon bolt connection pairs should comply with the design requirements and regulations of JGJ82, which is the current industry standard for the design, construction, and acceptance of large hexagon bolt connections.
(2) After the final tightening of a pair of large hexagon bolts, the bolt threads should be exposed with 2-3 retaining rings, and 10% of the bolt threads should be exposed with 1 or 4 retaining rings. Inspection frequency: 5% of the number of nodes, which should not be less than 10.
(3) The friction surface of the large hexagon bolt connection should be kept dry and tidy. There should be no flash, burr, welding spatter, welding scars, iron oxide scale, dirt, etc. Paint shall not be applied except as required by the design.
(4) The large hexagon bolt should be able to freely penetrate the bolt hole. High strength bolt holes should not be reamed by gas cutting. The number of reams should be approved by the design. The diameter of the reamed hole should not exceed 1.2D (d is the bolt diameter).
(5) After the assembly of large hexagon bolt ball joints, high-strength bolts and ball joints should be tightly connected. The thread length of high-strength bolts screwed into the bolt ball should not be less than 1.0d (d is the bolt diameter), and there should be no gaps or looseness at the joints.
